About Me

Saumik is a graduate engineer, who specialised in renewable energy technologies and power systems. He is a University of London alumni with diverse research experience in the energy sector. An elected member of the European Energy Centre, collaborating with various engineers, policymakers and researchers from around Europe and India working on future power networks. Saumik is currently working as a research analyst and also a part of a solar EPC firm, working on projects in system design, operations and control. He has also been a Program Representative at his university and student member of Energy Institute, UK; Institution of Measurement and Control; Royal Aeronautical Society; The British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing. He is a permanent member of the International Association of Engineers, Hong Kong. Saumik has researched academic projects on key industry topics such as and not limited to Electric Vehicles, power transmission, protection systems, smart grids and renewable energy distribution. He has a deep understanding of the power sector, its socio-economic and environmental factors that need to be addressed. Saumik has a keen interest in developing solutions for the efficient integration and distribution of clean energy in the future. Saumik is equally passionate about HVDC infrastructure and emission-free applications in the field of future power networks, and autonomous energy systems using AI forecasting methods. He is on his career path to becoming a Chartered Engineer and also aiming to pursue PhD in the coming years.
