Program Overview

Are you interested in practising law or curious to know what it may actually involve?
Let’s admit it - We have all been fascinated by the key characters from legal dramas, movies and TV Soaps, be it Harvey Specter from Suits, Alicia Florrick from the Good Wife or Alan Shore from Boston Legal.  It’s now time for you to experience what a law career entails and whether it is the right career fit for you!

As a lawyer, you'll be able to practise law and defend your clients in civil and criminal cases. Your principal responsibilities would include giving legal advice and counsel, drafting or reviewing legal papers, and acquiring evidence and other information for your cases.

When it comes to practising law, there are several specialisations available, such as criminal law, family, corporate law, tax, cyber law and many more.

In this experiential work program, you will be working on micro-career tasks. This program introduces you to career insights by replicating the type of work you would be doing at a corporate job. The 3 tasks are designed to build your capacity to critically analyse information from the perspective of a lawyer.

Please note that the tasks within this program are hypothetical and for learning purposes only. The scenario and client details you will hear about are fictional. Some of the laws mentioned herein have been toned down and simplified for the purpose of the user.
